The Return Of The Poll

By: cathal | July 29th, 2009

With the new season fast approaching, I think it’s about time I got the poll up and running again. If you were wondering where it had gone, I simply decided to give it a hard-earned vacation. I hope to have a new poll every Monday from now until the end of the season but due to some internet gremlins in the past few days, I am slightly late getting this one out. Nevertheless, we still have time and as always, you have until Monday to vote.

The question I put to you this week is simple; do you think we should bring the wantaways to Beijing? There is a strong rumour flying around that Ballardini has excluded Ledesma, Pandev and De Silvestri from the Supercoppa preparations and presumably, this means they won’t travel to Beijing. Is it in our best interests to make a stand by not letting these players feature or would it be preferable to take these three players with us and give ourselves the greatest odds possible of securing the trophy? Cast your vote here and I will reveal the results next week.

By the way, Rozehnal is virtually a Hamburg player now and should that become official, I’ll notify you all in the comments section. Forza Lazio!

Sorry for the spamming, but while you’re over there, you’ll notice Rozehnal is officially a Hamburg player; 4.9million, as expected.

We kick-off the season against Atalanta at the Olimpico. That is followed by Chievo and Juventus.

The first derby is scheduled for the 6th December, it is an “away” game for us.

I think they should be included, as we should field our strongest possible side and try to win the match. Also, I am glad to have made some money out of Rozenhal, as he hardly ever plays. Also, Bojinov just signed a year-long loan deal with Parma, so he won’t be joining us after all. FORZA LAZIO!!!!

Gallas was quoted at 7million by the media but due to his salary demands and Kolo Toure’s sale to Man City, I am almost 100% sure we will not see him at Lazio this season.

We will not use it to extend Pandev and Ledesma’s contracts; Goran was offered an economically sufficient deal but he turned it down, so, money is not an issue there.

Lugano, if he comes, he will arrive on a free transfer. As I’ve speculated in the past, he may be given a signing fee but that is not necessarily the case. Either way, I expect the money will be kept safe and invested in the club at a later date.

If you believe Lotito, a replacement will be brought in for Rozehnal and unless anyone else leaves, that will be it.

Lugano has to sign for someone soon but he is asking for a wage above our salary cap. Lotito won’t want to raise the cap so I think he may give Diego a bonus upfront. But of course, Lotito will evade this, if possible.

Don’t like the poll. Well I do, but I want Pandev to be left behind and Ledesma and LDS included in the squad. Their situations are different so their treatment should also be different.

Great move to sell Rozehnal and if Cribari follows and Lugano comes in, great move.

In that pic the way Ledesma holds Maurito head is too gay.

I understand what you’re saying Cristiano but I tried to keep it simple and I don’t think it is realistic to expect Ballardini to treat them differently; but I see where you’re coming from.

@ Paoletto: I love your attention to detail :)
