Elfsborg – Lazio
By: cathal | August 27th, 2009In a couple of hours, Lazio will hope to close out their tie against Elfsborg in Sweden as they seek to advance into the Europa League group stages. Make no mistake about it, the tie is not over but we should have no difficulty in seeing it out and with one goal, it is effectively over.

Ballardini has difficult choices to make; not because he needs to be particularly cautious or wary of the Swedes but he does need to field a team strong enough to progress comfortably. Many media outlets believe Zarate will be rested with a partnership between Rocchi and Cruz being tested for the first time. Kolarov may also be rested but other than that, I don’t expect anyone else to be left on the bench.
There’s not much to say about the game so…Forza Lazio!

Sorry, had to rush this out a bit, have a few internet problems which has stopped me getting anything up earlier.
The game is underway: check http://www.myp2p.eu for strams. It’s not looking too bright, yet again.

Wasn’t a great game by any stretch of the imagination, but we’re in the group stages.

Draw has just been made, we’ve got Villareal, Levski Sofia and Salzburg. Pretty open group if you ask me should be tough but I think we have enough about ourselves to at least finish 2nd.
And about last night, to be honest i was relieved to hear the full time whistle as Elfsborg had plenty of clear cut chances and if it wasnt for Muslera we could have had an embarassing night…still, we made it!Posted from
