Fiorentina – Lazio
By: cathal | October 4th, 2009Back to Serie A we go and this Lazio side who ran away with a victory in Bulgaria in midweek will take on the side who conquered the mighty Liverpool on Tuesday night. With the Viola in vintage form, you could argue that this is a near impossible mission for us but as our own tide is turning, we may put up a greater fight than many think.

Our injury woes still exist and as a result, our backline virtually picks itself. Del Nero will step in at left-back yet again with the exhausted Lichtsteiner featuring on the right. Cribari and Radu kept a clean sheet against Levski and as the only fit centre-backs, they will have a colossal task to repeat that feat. As for midfield, I expect us to neutralise Jovetic as much as possible and for that reason, I can’t see Ballardini doing anything other than playing a midfield trio. I assume Baronio will do much of the dirty work and will be flanked by Mauri and Dabo. Matuzalem will probably start in the trequartista role which is slightly harsh on Foggia and Meghni who have been doing well recently while I am fairly confident Rocchi will partner Zarate in attack. It’s a strong but vulnerable line-up and you can see what I expect now in full:
Lazio (4-3-1-2): Muslera, Del Nero, Radu, Cribari, Lichtsteiner, Mauri, Baronio, Dabo, Matuzalem, Zarate, Rocchi.

As for Fiorentina, I hinted at the major issue earlier; we have to take Jovetic out of the game. I think the boys in purple are weakest in the full back positions and in an ideal world, we would play with width and take the game to them but the Montenegrin is just too dangerous and if we can mark him out of it, we cut off much of their forward supply. I believe this is what Davide will look at doing and unlike many others, I think we have a real shot at a win. We annihiliated them at home last season and but for an early sending off, we could have done it a second time so I see absolutely no reason why we can’t emerge from this encounter with at least a point. Forza Lazio!
Previous Encounter: Fiorentina 1-0 Lazio (Gilardino, 90)
Last Season: As Above.

Hi everyone. I can safely speak for the curva nord and laziali everywhere when I say that we LOVE to fuck sheep. Sometimes a man gets lonely, and when you find the right ewe for you out in the countryside and the lighting is just right… it’s a beautiful thing. But, to my dear lazio players, maybe you should take a rest from sheep-fucking, as it may improve the piss-poor results we’ve been achieving lately. And when in the sack with a sheep, don’t let it be on top. That’s a mistake we’ve been making far too much, as is evidenced from our injury problem. We at the curva nord have written a 500-page manual on sheepfucking that we would be happy to lend to you guys.
As always, forza lazio, and ewes watch out!

Empty? What’s empty?
I haven’t updated the blog in the last few day’s for reasons you will see in the near future. Expect at least 10 posts between now and next Monday.
As for Pandev and Ledesma being reintegrated, they haven’t. Goran never plays under any circumstances whereas the likes of Stendardo and Ledesma play in friendlies if we are lacking in squad numbers.
As for the Riomanisti calling over; it’s not my fault your blog is a fail. I don’t post in 3 days and all of a sudden we’re empty. You only come ever here when you’re dissatisfied with your own blog.
I think the fact we sold more season tickets than you says that we hold the power in the Olimpico. If there’s more Riomanisti in the toilets than there is laziali in the Olimpico then I’d ask you to consider what might be going on in your Giallorossi toilets
Stay tuned…

Our blog is a fail. LOL ur blog averages, what, around 10 posts. We get, what, 100-200 posts if not more.
Who cares about season tickets, who is performing better, Lazio or Roma? Hmmm .You suck so bad that you have been forced FORCED to recall Pandev and Ledesma.

Looks like more dissenti for us as Vincent Degre refusing to re-sign with Lazio.

There’s many things I want to clear up over the next few days.
Pandev and Ledesma are not back in the squad. The dissidenti are always called up for friendlies when available.
As for Degre, yes, it appears that he is soon to become a free agent if he isn’t already. Considering we have 5 goalkeepers, that’s no bad thing but he was a talented guy.

Nicely said Stef… that’s what we all hope. I wish these Froci would just stay to their own blog instead of coming here and polluting ours with their homosexual nonsense.

Franco, I think someone posted that crap on your blog because one of your Lazio blogers were so bored that they posted 30 posts of crap on the Roma board. No one would have come over here if it wasnt for that dickhead.

Yeah Chris, the Romani seem to enjoy “spanking” quite a bit…

30 posts from a rogue Laziale…hmmm, I didn’t even realise that riomers could count that high. And btw, are you including those thirty in the total of the 200 posts you say you get daily…if so I reckon a load of riomer haters post regularly in that fogna where you vermin reside so that would account for the high volume. It’s not the first time that one of your stray riomer mutts has come over here. Forza Lazio!

It’s a known fact that Chris bans any laziale he sees on their pages so if a rogue laziale did accumulate 30 anti-Rioma posts (funnily enough, I tend not to look at RiomaOffside) then it must be because Chris has deserted those pack of wolves. I may not have been posting recently (new posts on the way I should mention) but I never desert my fellow friends
Any more silly comments will result in bans. If I were you, I’d save myself for the derby; but then again, I’m not you…
