Non mollare mai

How I rated it all:

LAZIO (L’unica squadra di Roma):

BALLOTTA (6) – Hard to give Nonno Ballota a higher rating considering how little he had to do (Isn’t Rioma supposed to be some sort of offensive football team? Could have fooled me). Solid game anyway for our veteran keeper.

DE SILVESTRI (6,5) – Was substituted pretty early on in the second, but he was constantly pushing forward in the first half, and won us a few corners. I love this kid. If Lotito ever tries to sell him, I’ll personally kill the man with my bare hands.

SIVIGLIA and CRIBARI (6) – A joint rating for the two center backs, because like Ballotta, they didn’t seem to have much to do. A steady, if unspectacular night of work.

KOLAROV (8.5) – For a guy that wasn’t supposed to play (Radu was), he was maybe our best player on the night. Let’s see, two assists, one crossbar, and a near miss from a set piece. With De Silvestri and Radu (and Tuia waiting in the wings), we’re seeing the beginnings of a very solid back four.

DABO (6,5) – Was calm, cool and creatively spreading the ball around all night. Glad you’re back Ousmane.

LEDESMA (6.5) – I’ve been very critical of Cristian for most of the last month, but I have to eat some crow now. He’s looking more and more like the on-field marshal he’s supposed to be, and provided some solid service yesterday.

BEHRAMI (8) – Was very unlucky to be part of that first Rioma goal…but he made up for it with the winner in the 92nd minute (and by blasting a ball off Turddei’s face).

PANDEV
(8) – Goran was immense last night, playing with tons of heart, and as usual working wonderfully with Rocchi. Lotito get his extension signed already.

ROCCHI
(7.5) – Balboa was his typically hard working self last night, and I’m glad he was able to get his name on the scoresheet.

BIANCHI
(6,5) – Played a very Inzaghi-like game last night, in that I think I’d hate his guts if he weren’t a Laziale (he just has that sort of face). Anyway, he ran hard, held up the ball well, and managed to win that penalty.

MUTARELLI
(N/A) – Not enough time to have a great impact on the game, but I was as happy as a pig in shit watching him Mofo Mutarelli get in the game. Welcome back to the fold Mas.

DELIO ROSSI
(8): After all the shit that has said about Delio recently (not to mention all the reports listing his successors), yesterday must have felt fucking great for him, and I’m glad. His tactics and substitutions were note perfect, and I loved seeing him run with joy at Behrami’s goal.

MAURI (N/A)
MUDINGAYI (N/A)

Delio

RIOMA:

Does anyone really care?

Merda

Bah, I guess for completion’s sake, I’ll give it a shot, off the top of my head.

Let’s see:

Doni (-1): Was saved by a crossbar and a post, oh and he fumbled Rocchi’s penalty after having dove in the right direction. Thanks Doni.

Cicinho (0): Probably Rioma’s best player, even though there are Astronauts in space who can see his inability to use the left foot. Not hard to defend against when he always has to go inside…

Juan (-4): If you watch clips of the goals, he can invariably be found lying on his ass (or looking completely lost) in all three. Thanks Juan.

Turddei (-6): Tried to shield himself like a pussy from an incoming ball, and managed to score. Aside from that was completely invisible.

Perrotta (1): Probably the only player on Rioma who looked like he cared.

Totti (N/A): Was he even playing?

Spalleti (-7): Looked like he was dozing off the whole time, which is understandable considering the heartless, pretty boy primadonnas on his team. I’d want to close my eyes too.

I’d go on, but you get the idea.

Thanks for coming out though Rioma, and don’t forget to:

Arse

FORZA LAZIO.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a preview of Saturday’s game against the Viola.

First of all: Scudetto, Game Over.
Second: riomamerda is in the quarter finals….not semis. Slow down….and you’re playing Man U. You know what that means….I feel like a 7UP!! (is that score still the record?)
Third: we might meet in the Coppa Italia final….you know you can’t win. The last time we met in Coppa Italia I believe was the year when LAZIO WON 4 DERBIES IN 1 YEAR!!! 2 for Serie A and 2 for Coppa Italia…..Go home!!!!!! You people already look stupid to Lazio fans…you need to come here and confirm it everyday?!?! wow…..

Pandev and Behrami looked like your best players by some distance. Bianchi è una vergogna, just threw himself at the floor all night. overall you looked like you wanted it more, which is from my perspective not really good enough, but fair play to you all. though after the 2-2 right up until that last counter-attack there really only looked like one team was likely to go on and win. Vabbeh, that’s the way these things go.

Alex…you must be a rioma fan.
You don’t remember the year Lazio beat rioma 4 times?!?! Twice in the regular season a twice in Coppa Italia? Come on….don’t lie.
In case you didn’t know….yes, it actually happened. True story. riomanisti were hiding under rocks. Could not talk. What a beautiful year. As soon as they say something, all we have to do is bring that up and they know they have to shut up.
I don’t know if you speak or read italian (don’t worry…your captain doesn’t either. hahaha), but here is the link where you and your short memory friends can go to see:

I’ll only translate this part “A dream for Lazio, a nightmare for rioma”…hahahaha…
