BAH.
By: salvatore | November 16th, 2008
As much as I want to throw up, you can’t win them all, especially derbys.
I could say a lot of things right now, and try to shit talk, but I won’t. Our link-up play, finishing and midfield left a lot to be desired today, to say nothing of Delio’s borderline insane choices (leaving Foggia out when he’s been on incredible form is just unexplainable, especially when Inzaghi got minutes).
I don’t particularly think Rioma played very well, and you can make an argument for an undeserved victory, but shit happens. If anything, they did look hungrier at certain parts of the game. Of course, given their position in the standings, that’s probably to be expected.
So enjoy your moment Rioma, we’ll meet again in the New Year.

Maybe just an argument then Tony, and not a “strong” one. In fact, I’ve edited the post. Have a good one.

Sal: we are the first team of Rome not because we were founded first, but rather we are the superior club at actually playing football.
let’s see what the table looks like at the end of the year.

Dangerous argument to make, the table begs to differ.

LAZYO MERDA!!!!
How the FUCK can it be undeserved? Football is about scoring more goals than your opponent which is exactly what we did to day!
A victory is only undeserved if the ref help you *cough* jubentus, inter e Milan*cough*

foolish statement considering how much the ref helped you but anyway, you won, we lost, I’m over it.

Too bad silverware and Europe spots aren’t decided on head-to-head results, CUCS…if so, Juventus would have won everything last year.

cathal, I am a romanista but I come in peace.
good game.
y’all played a helluva game.
the finishing was just off.
zarate looks like the real deal.btw, you can never be ‘over’ a derby loss.
i’m still pissed at the 3-2 win last year.Posted from

cathal, you seem to be way too heavy with the hand with your editing and very light on the wit.

*fogna.
Maybe you can edit that for me, cathal.

I was more impressed with Lazio than with our occasional show of spark. Juan, De Rossi, and Baptista fought but it was not an all team effort. How we won is beyond me. Obviously my candlelightening routine is paying off.
Lazio should blame themselves for not scoring….or I should say for running up the score in such a derby.I do give you credit for creating a competitve side.

asem, romabaha, thanks for the gracious comments
lamagica, if you have nothing constructive to say on our blog then I will change it. I would be careful with accusation as you don’t know who edited what (but yeah, it probably was me).
I may be light on wit but if you had any wit, you would comment on the blog of the team you actually support and not our blog to be at our editing mercy.

Tough Break! You guys should have drew at least even. Too many missed chances. A win by Roma that was not very convincing. They played a bit better than what we have come to expect this season but they still have no idea how to close out a match. They have the ref to thank for making it easier for them close out this one. He was letting them get away with murder in the 2nd half. More or less, they are still crap.
Let them think what they want. They barely beat you. Actaully, you beat yourselves. You are miles ahead in the table and you have double the points they have, 22 to 11. You sit 5th, they sit 17th. Roma is not superior to much right now, they are among the league’s door mats.

UNICO grande amore! Forza Roma, tough breaks. Zarate looked very good, too bad he’ll jump ship asap. Calling it an undeserved victory is a statement that establishes the fact that your “team” didn’t do what they are paid to do.

He’ll jump ship asap?
Not like Samuel, Dacourt, Chivu, or Mancini eh?

more like ibrahimovic, vieira, cannavaro, emerson.

Considering the process to get him on a permanent basis has already begun, I don’t think he’s going anywhere for awhile.

And I didn’t say it was undeserved, I said you could argue it was, but in the end, what would be the point of doing that? Shit happens.

You can’t say someone should have won, someone should have lost, or they should have drawn.
What happened happened.
Paolo, no one is saying we are great or anything, but we are getting better from where we were at. There is no way we are just “doormats.” And also let’s not look at the table until at least a little after the Christmas holidays. Season isn’t even 1/3 over yet…
And I don’t know how attached Zarate is to the shirt, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he jumped ship sometime soon … His stock has gotta be soaring.

wow, cathal, i think youre taking this love for all things ‘nazio’ a little too far. i didnt realise that supporting a facist team would actually leach into a fan’s real world, let alone a blog. well done, adolf.

You know, I am never surprised at comments by lazie fans because the of the inherent inferiority they feel when it comes to Roma. You all focus more on Roma than you do your own team. The facts of this derby are very clear. Roma did not play well but won anyway. Lazie played well after they went down to 10 men. In general, neither team impressed. All of you should know that form and the place in the table mean nothing when it comes to the derby.
The fact is that you lazie fans really think you have a team this year. I am here to tell you that your team has overachieved thus far, and you will see by the end of the season that lazie is lazie. Nothing but a mediocrity. Oh, and as far as you all believing you are the first team of Rome, let me give you some facts. Roma have two times the number of fans in the province of Lazio than does la lazie. In fact, juventus has more fans in the region than lazie. So, you are actually the third most supported team in the province. Thus, there is no way to claim that you are the first team of Rome when you are third behind Roma and Juventus in the province. Again, the lazie inferiority complex. You have to love it.
Here endeth the lesson.
