Finding The Right Track
By: cathal | September 18th, 2009How do you repair self-inflicted wounds? It seems you eradicate the plague. Yes, as you may have guessed or even read, Pandev and Ledesma are back. Both played in a 8-on-8 friendly earlier this morning and all signs point to a comeback for the duo. However, at Lazio, things are never this simple and whether either of them feature on Sunday remains to be seen.

Who knows why they have been reintegrated but with Rocchi out of the Catania game and with Cruz now struggling for fitness, we have a real crisis in attack to go along with the midfield problems we already have. Thus, it seems logical that we bring them back. Screw any rustiness or lack of motivation, the wounds are only getting deeper and perhaps against the will of Lotito, something may have to be done. However, we know the president has an abundance of resolve.

If you want to shoot Cribari for his mistake (and I have no doubts that a few of you do) then you may just have to prepare yourselves for seeing him again this weekend. Diakite’ has tired muscles and is also a minor doubt. Not an ideal situation to say the least and when you look at these stats, it doesn’t exactly inspire us with a great deal of confidence. Can we buck a 33 year-old trend of losing in Catania? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Forza Lazio!
