Goran and the Beast
By: salvatore | March 31st, 2008Well, the whole Pandev to Real Madrid story doesn’t want to go away, with Lotito today confirming the Spaniards’ offer of Javier Saviola for the Macedonian. Just a few days ago he claimed Pandev would not be moved, but who knows what can happen when big name players and large cash offers start coming Lotito’s way? Already there’s a rumor floating around that he’d ship Goran to Madrid if Real offered one Julio “the beast” Baptista instead of Saviola, but I’m very reluctant to believe it.
In any event, you can bet that this whole story is only going to get worse when the summer comes around, particularly if Lotito offers Goran a roll of toilet paper as a contract extension. Personally, I hope Pandev stays, as it would help clear Lotito’s often muddy intentions with the team, and help stabilize the team for, what I think, is a very promising future. What Lotito thinks though is anyone’s guess.
