Lacking In Lure?
By: cathal | August 19th, 2008Lazio’s status in the transfer market is certainly murky at the moment but if you believe everything you read in the media then it seems we are in a bit of a scrap.
Genoa are the latest side to have been linked with a move for Crespo. It appears they may be in the best position (financially, at least) to capture Hernan’s signature. Personally, I doubt the credibility of any Crespo rumour at the minute as he seems to have been linked with the whole of Serie A and as far as I’m concerned, there’s not enough truth in the rumours to warrant the anticipation. At the same time, I am more than a little concerned that Genoa are supposedly ahead of us in the race to sign one of our former stars.
Genoa are not the only ones trying to hijack our transfer targets. It seems other clubs are also keen to get in on the act. Pinzi has now been linked to Torino and Chievo, with the former believed to be heading the race. It looks increasingly likely that we are no longer in the hunt for Giampiero, which leads me to another of our drawn out transfer rumours. Domizzi is currently linked with Udinese, although they are denying that any negotiations are taking place. Something weird is going on with Domizzi; Napoli are denying his availability and yet there are a list of clubs said to be chasing his signature. I am keeping one eye on that situation…

According to Makinwa’s agent, it seems our favourite Stephen is going nowhere, despite recent talk of a swap deal involving Bogdani. I was never in favour of a Bogdani swap deal, but I was optimistic that we could at least negotiate some kind of deal with Chievo. Makinwa clearly has other ideas. As for Rocchi, the situation appears to be slightly worse than it was originally thought. A note has appeared on the official website stating that Tommaso is likely to be out for a period of 40 days providing there are no additional problems. It was originally reported that he would be out for 30-40 days, but the “40 days without complications” sounds a little less optimistic. The medical staff seem to be cautious of the injury or perhaps this is a way of justifying the purchase of another forward? Let’s wait and see…

i dissagrea with broochi because in my own opinion is his skill fade to end and not useful for LAZIO and crespo like that i think boss lotito have a big mistake in transfer season like previous season (ballotta played with terrible mistakes and muslera seat in bench only for his youth) i think we give many roles to younger player is better than having same roles to oldest players like ballotta and seen wrong them because we cant digestion oldest players mistakes but the younger players with own mistakes conversion to younger player with big experience that perfectly useful for LAZIO
I THINK ONLY THING THAT WE NEED A LITTLE PATIENCE FOR YOUNGER MISTAKESPosted from

There are many rumours in circulation at the moment, in fact, it’s actually becoming difficult to keep up with them. However, they mainly revolve two ideas; Stendardo leaving Lazio and Rocchi’s injury. We know at this stage that Stendardo is not part of the plan, therefore the media are speculating that he is being used to lure other clubs into exchange deals. Nothing has been said by the club to suggest we are in the market for a new striker but the media certainly feel we are. On that front it is just a waiting game.

We shouldn’t sign Broochi. He isn’t getting any younger and his salary is huge, beside all that he doesn’t have the quality to play for us.If we are going to sell Stendardo we should sell him for cash and than sign someone younger and more perspective.Well that’s just me talking…

SINISARMAN, I have watched Zarate on quite a few occasions and I would say he is comparable with Marcelo Salas. There are certainly differences, I don’t think Zarate is as much of a goalscorer as Salas, but he does have more height.
Kozak is very tall. I haven’t seen him play but I’ve heard he is more like Koller than Ibrahimovic.
Mendicino looks like he could turn into a Toni style player. It will be interesting to see if he develops into a prolific goalscorer or just a target man, but he has excited me so far.
