Lazio a Vita!

After making every Lazio fan completely sick with endless speculation, fighting and shit talking, Tommaso Rocchi signed a new five-year contract today with the team. If fulfilled, the extended stay can potentially turn him into the one thing the Biancoceleste have truly lacked since Di Canio left: A symbol of the team (as they say in Italy).
The news broke when the great bald one posted the following message on his website:
“I am very happy to have found a deal that keeps me with the Aquile for another five years and therefore for the rest of my career. This is what I always wanted and I am delighted because I have waited faithfully for this moment. Thank you to all the fans that have supported me and given me the strength to keep going.”
Grande Rocchi.
So, good news for a team in desperate need of a clear game plan moving forward, and hopefully this will spell the end of those rumors involving Lotito contacting Real Madrid for one Antonio “Peter Pan” Cassano.
No matter how badly we need a fantasista, you just know that bringing in the ex-Merdista will end in tears and pain (and that’s for us, not for Antonio, who seems to struggle getting through a whole 90 minutes without having a good cry). Besides, could it be that Lotito (vattene) has just brought this up to distract Lazio fans from, I don’t know, something like a court date for suspicion of stock manipulation? Yep, it seems something may not be completely kosher with the Lazio stock owned by our great president. But then as always with Lotito, it’s one step forward (Rocchi) and two steps back (fraud, lies and ulterior motives).

I read Lazio are trying to bring back promising fantasista Andrea Russotto this summer. I think that would be a very good move.

Yeah Francesco, I really hope they bring Russotto back into the fold. The few times I’ve caught him playing I’ve been impressed, and he’d be a nice cheap addition for the attack. Hopefully there’s some truth to that rumor.
