See you later…
By: salvatore | July 24th, 2008As expected, Behrami’s transfer has been completed, and the Swiss International is now a member of West Ham. Aside from the fact that this soap opera is finally over, the good news is that the team was able to get 5 million pounds for ol’ Valon, which was more than first reported, and potentially more than he’s worth. Good on Lotito for getting something positive out of all that mess.
Elsewhere, Foggia’s agent continues to talk, talk and talk. Pretty much a day after saying the midfielder would be staying with Lazio, the bastard is now going on and on about all the teams interested in his client, which seems like a strange way to get Pasquale in good with his new club and teammates, to say the least. Evidently, Benfica, Chievo, Genoa, and one would assume Napoli, are all keen on Foggia, so don’t forget it, because even if you do, this guy is just going to remind us, over and over.
Also, I’m going away today for a short-ish holiday, so I won’t be posting anything for the next ten days or so (unless something really major happens, in which case I’ll try to track down a computer and put something up). In the meantime, if you want to follow everything going on with the team, as well as brush up on your Italian, refer to the excellent Lazialita.com or PiazzaDellaLiberta.it.

lazio royally screwed west ham over on this deal, especially since this was the last year of his contract and he could have left for free after this season. I think you have to thank Gianluca Nani (DS of West Ham) for paying the EPL premium on this one

lazio got the best of this. behrami for 5M? that’s awesome. they’ll find out that for all the running that valon does, he doesn’t ever have that last touch of class to make a difference.
